Generation Idol formed in 2013 in Southern California after Knight relocated to the West Coast from Las Vegas and promptly recruited a consummate band of seasoned musicians to help fulfill his musical vision. Based in Orange County CA, Generation Idol is currently taking the tribute band world by storm!
Veteran Las Vegas Tribute Artist Craig Knight uncannily personifies the oft-sneering swagger and rugged vocal of Billy Idol and has professionally since 2003! Now partnered with Ben Morris as Steve Stevens using the same amplifiers, guitars often used by the legend himself!
Come join the “Billy Idol Generation” for an unforgettable night of classic Billy Idol and hit songs. “Mony, Mony,” “Dancing With Myself,” “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Cradle Of Love,” “Hot In The City,” “Flesh For Fantasy” and “Eyes Without A Face and just about any Billy Idol or Generation X songs we all love!
on AXS TV’s “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” Live from The Whisky a Go Go
Attendees of their April 6, 2016 performance on “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” (4/06/16) were blown away by Craig and his band, and they raved about the group immediately after seeing the show!
“Best Billy Idol Tribute band EVER!!!”
“I don’t hear a difference. They’re amazing. They sound just like ‘em. I think Billy should be proud!”
“The energy was off the charts – best thing I’ve seen.”
“The way he (Craig Knight) got everybody to motivate and sing along – I mean, it was like everybody in unison.”
“Oh! It was awesome!”
