Discovery Ventura is located in the midst of a neighborhood with adjacent houses. A free shuttle will be running throughout the day starting at 11:30 AM till 7:30 PM. The shuttle will pick up in the lot and drop-off right in front of Discovery.  We encourage people to carpool, bike, Uber, or get dropped off. There is also a bike rack at the venue (please ride carefully).

Do not block driveways, leave trash, etc.. Let’s work together to be sure we can do this EVERY year!

Matisyahu (Born Matthew Paul Miller, June 30, 1979) is a Jewish reggae and dub musician from West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. He mixes traditional Jewish themes with modern reggae, rock and hip hop sounds.
Young, talented and ambitious define HIRIE as an individual and as an artist. Stirring up island-inspired vibes with sounds of roots, reggae and pop while also applying her smooth, sweet and naturally pop-sounding voice to blend it all together. HIRIE will undoubtedly be a driving force in new-age music.

Leilani Wolfgramm is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with Tongan roots from Orlando, Florida. Three years ago she started playing along side her brothers, Zech and Nasur in their reggae band, Hor!zen. After a year she set out on a solo career releasing an EP entitled, "I Burn." Leilani has toured with Fortunate Youth and the Supervillians and has shared the stage with acts such as Ballyhoo, Dirty Heads, Tribal Seeds, Sublime ft. Rome, New Kingston and The Movement.

Dirty Rice is a 7-piece reggae band based in South Oxnard, California. The soulful sound of Dirty Rice is a mix of roots, rock, reggae and hints
of ragga combined with never-ending drum grooves, acoustic guitar, whole- some keys, soothing vocal harmonies and rocking bass riffs.
Dirty Rice is comprised of a group of local friends and a mix of family - Pika Maiava (drums), Mataio Valoaga (bass), Charleen Morla (keyboards), Mau Valoaga (Guitar) and combining the heavenly blends on the mics are vocals – Shirley Moore, Henry Otineru and Nasau Galeai.
Dirty Rice formed in March of 2010 initially to play at a “one time only gig” for a birthday party of two of their band members. With such positive response from the crowd of family and friends, they decided to continue rehearsing and began performing at local venues throughout the 805.
Dirty Rice was soon capturing the crowds with their unique and intriguing sound by performing known reggae covers to their very own “feel good” originals.
Since then, Dirty Rice has had the honor and privilege of backing headline acts including reggae legends from Ziggy Marley, the Wailers, Pato Banton
and Don Carlos to more current acts such as Lion, Rey Fresco, Jboog, Iration, Katcha re, Tribal Theory, Expanders, Reel Big Fish, Shaggy, Sublime w/ Rome among other groups.
On March 2013, Dirty Rice realeased their rst self-titled album and played to a sold out crowd of 2,000 at the Majestic Ventura Theater for their album release. Dirty Rice is currently released their latest 4-track EP “Heart of a Lion” in the Fall of 2016.
Dirty Rice’s island vibe style is great for all occasions and any crowd that likes to layback, chill, or party and groove on the dance oor.

at any venue whether it be for intimate crowds at private parties, festivals, bene t shows to audiences at the House of Blues (Anaheim), The Mint (Los Angeles), SoHo (Santa Barbara), The Libbey Bowl (Ojai), The Canyon Club (Agoura Hills), SLO Brewery (San Luis Obispo), Winstons and House of Blues (San Diego) to local spots in Ventura – Bombay’s, The Pierpont Inn, Watermark on Main, Discovery Ventura, Copper Blues and the place where it all began, Sam’s Saloon in South Oxnard.
